My mountain kind photo monopod died a few weeks ago.  It got more use as a walking stick than a photo monopod.

This was mostly due to just taking my tripod if it were needed. However not sure how easy that will be with some of my planned travels. Saw a manfrotto 294a4,seemed pretty robust yet compact, so could help with some of my walks.

Just curious if anyone knows or can recommend a monopod that is both not too heavy but durable and not flimsy, eg, could help as a walking stick if needed?

Can't say I've really looked into them much, I've got one but its just a cheapy, erm quick google and its a hama 8 star.  Don't use it loads but its handy sometimes.

The manfrotto looks canny especially for the price, would you get the tilt head?  If I was looking at getting one I think I'd want it, without it for general use I could imagine them being a bit awkward, probably fine for big lenses though.
