only time cards have failed for me is the contacts getting damaged from removing and putting back in many times... so with that in mind a large card which you dont remove would be better option IMO :)

Quote from: zpyderWould be interesting to try and quantify the "lost images" over time for both approaches to figure out which is better :D

lol, yes I guess it would, but I suspect youd miss more images with your head in a book figuring it out than youd loose in a lifetime of either method.

zpyder

tbh I dont think I have ever lost any images as a result of removable media.

Only media Ive ever lost are some videos and photos I took whilst at college, being on the computer and either not being backed up, or the cd with the backup on being lost.

Im sure I uploaded the video somewhere, but cant remember where. Shame, as it was pretty funny, me and a few friends being losers with lightsabers at college ><

I suspect this balances out over time, more small cards means greater chance of individual failure. Estimated failure rate would average 3.5 years+.

So far I havent had one fail myself.

Well the 350D sold again, this time to a buyer in london who paypald the cash, so its 450D only from here on.. :D

soopahfly

What sort of monies you after for the 350D?

*edit.
nevermind.

Binary Shadow

unlucky, was up for £250, seen the bodies on ebay for that sort of money so with the lens the buyer got a good price IMO
