These are fantastic, its picturesque seeing such a smooth blanket of crisp, white snow. Almost surreal in fact.

As I said on your flickr, really like the first one, the 2nd ones good too you've used the rule of 3rds nicely and it shows.

Didn't have any up here really, not even enough to cover the ground which sucks, wanted to get out and take some snow shots :(

I think the vignetting may be a little strong, but I do love that tree.

I got up at 5.30am to go to the park to get some shots, I was really hoping for some colour in the sunrise but it was a total grey-out. Luckily it was just me and a couple of other 'togs up there so the snow was still pristine.

I thought while I was out there that it would have been a fantastic opportunity to do some flaming wire wool shots but sadly all the shops were shut, next time.

Those really are fantastic.

Did you have any issue with White balance & exposure with the snow?

I've not seen any snow down here, despite spending the day in a bird hide at -3.6 degrees on Saturday. The harbour was pretty frozen, but no snow!

Cheers all :)

I used the custom white balance, pointing it at the snow to set it so it was pretty close, the only problem I did have was because it was dawn the light was changing constantly so I had to re-set the balance every 15 mins or so. The exposures were all a bit under so most were tweaked up in Lightroom.

All have had the black levels increased as well as the vibrance, a bit of cropping to get the layouts just right.

Here is the entirety of the snow in Bristol caught in time lapse (I wish more landed it could have been really good :)
