Anyone used it?

After reading different reviews & comparisons on the EF-S 17-55 F/2.8 IS, EF 24-70 F/2.8L and EF 24-105 F/4L IS Im finding it funny that Ive ended up preferring the non L lens, even though there is little price difference between em!

Hopefully looking to pick up a second hand one for 400 quid (cheapest Ive found it new is 500 on eBay, 550 online general).

Have you seen this ? http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/lenses/17-55mm.htm

Im using a 24-105 atm as a try-out on a 5D, I think the zooming is awkward compared to the Nikkor 18-200, but otherwise feels a quality product.

No not seen that, looking through it now.

Read a number of reviews, posts on POTN and FredMiranda.

The IQ, bokeh and spec (F/2.8 IS) in general are whats attracting me. Also I dont see me moving to a FF camera soon. My next upgrade is likely to be the Canon 50D next year. If I get one of those, in addition to this EF-S 17-55 and my EF-S 10-22mm, I think Ill have all I need. Dont really do much long range stuff. I suppose I could always pick up a 70-200 F/2.8L in a couple of years if I nee it ;)

Was concerned about the chromatic aberation from 17-35mm, although this seems to be the only sacrifice - can be fixed in Photoshop anyways.

The range is a bit of a let down, but I suppose in 35mm terms itll do the job.
