very cool. i want to get hold of some cokin filters etc..

Looks like i could be swapping my jessops flash for a proper canon speedlight soon as well.

Russell

I only got the slot in filters last week, havent really had a chance to try them properly, not sure when I will as Im still doing my house up in most of my free time but still.

I got the HiTech ones from www.teamworkphoto.com as the cokin ones are meant to have a colour cast to them and the Hitech ones arent, the adapter etc all came from ebay though.

I could do with a decent flash, its not something I need very often but it would be handy same they arent cheap for decent ones :(

Quote from: CeathreamhnanAll you need - SB400

Aye looks like all Ill need especially since I dont use a flash much but I was thinking an SB-600 just for some extra features, not that Ive really looked into it much as I cant afford it at the mo, maybe Ill add it to my shopping list for the next millennium lol.

Russell

Oh and any one else got any kit theyd like to share?

Ill see what I can do, a lot of my kit is in my Dads cupboard but I should be able to put my hands on the bits I use most often.

I recommend you take my kit as a stern warning of things to come, ebay will steal your soul!!

Binary Shadow

iv had to apply the brakes quite seriously when i found myself trying to work out ways of affording an EOS 5D MKII at £1800!

Binary Shadow

Aside from changing my jessops flashgun to a canon speedlight 430ex mkII im also looking to add the following to my bag:

sigma 70-200 F2.8
sigma 1.4x converter
reasonably good tripod

Russell

Best get saving, not a cheap thing a sigma 70-200, (not hugely expensive either) but a decent tripod/head is a canny whack too.

Binary Shadow

indeed, the canon 70-200 f2.8 is twice the price though

Binary Shadow

New Kit:

Canon Speedlite 430EX mk2
Cheap hama tripod, yes a little nasty but does for now
Sigma 1.4x converter
Sigma 70-200 f2.8

Binary Shadow

already ordered a sony handycam tripod to replace the cheapo one as it was less than half price
