And here's the next one:

I like this one. I think the top 2/3 are bang on, is there any way of increasing the contrast or something on the lower 1/3 where the trolley is? That area just seems a little washed out to me, otherwise its totally ace :D

Russell

Thanks!  Quite pleased with it too since I was balancing on a rock that kept on moving, nearly fell in the mud a couple of times lol

I'll have another go at editing it over the weekend and see what I can come up with, I can see what you mean the tones around the shopping trolleys are fairly similar to the mud, hmm will see what I can do.

Every time I look at the shot with the shopping trolleys I keep expecting to see zombies looming around the water, I have no idea why! I think it's good.

I think that tree's mooning us.

I've updated that photo with one that has a bit more contrast in it, I couldn't find an easy way of adding more contrast without doing the entire picture so in the end I just did the entire thing.

Original first, 2nd edit last:

Yeah thats much better.

I gues syou could have done layer masks or something to progressively mask in/out the contrasted areas on separate layers?

Just finished editing some ones from a trip down to a local nature reserve in April, haven't been back down recently so might try and go this weekend see if the swans are still about and if they've actually had any cygnets

I was off work last week and went round a few places and took some photos which I've just got round to going through and here's the first, taken at Washington Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, which wasn't a bad day out, I was there for about 4 hours but the entrance fee of £8.45 wasn't great.

Really nice pics mate, all of them to be honest! Although the duck giving a bit of attitude makes me laugh!

zpyder
