i was going to leave it to Mr.Roll to post, but he hasnt so Ill do it
planned on checking the handbreak to see what was wrong with it and look for the cause of the wabble at the same time... (handbreak was omming up 16 clicks)
found the problem with the handbreak right away... the guy who had it before Mr. Roll had left it standing a while, so the handbreak had siezed on, so he oilied the breaks... inside the drum :s
queue oil and gunk everywhere, i could turn the drum by hand even with Mr.Roll hard on the foot break, so cleaned that off with a bit of acetone (was going to use petrol but had some acetone so used it instead!)
handbreak problem was just a worn self adjuster and all the oil/gunk blocking it up and seazing it in place, fixed that no probs
when i took the other drum off the bearing inside fell appart as I pulled the drum off, looked pretty badly warn + rainbow effect of colours where it had been too hot
went for a new one but they guy wanted £35 and had to order it in
came down to £20 later on but still needed to order it in, so Mr.Roll is going to source one from his mate
so thats £700 he was quoted - £20 for the new bearing = £680 labour charges for me !
