4 wheel laser tracking - West Yorkshire (Thumbs Up)
on: January 14, 2008, 15:37:08 PM
Just got back from Gordons Tyres in Wakefield to get my deli driving on the straight and narrow.
Saw them reccomended on a few MX5 owners forums and decided to give them a call.

Poshest place ive ever taken a car to tbh.  Sat in a nice reception drinking the free coffee from the Kenco machine, as the bloke fettled with my beast.

Had to adjust the camber, caster and toe on the front, it was horribly wearing the inside shoulder of the front drivers wheel, as well as pulling to the right.

My pocket is £34.95 lighter and my Deli drives straighter than it did before, but still not perfect.  I guess thats down to the brakes howling when you lightly press the pedal, along with the pulsating pedal, my guess is now a damaged disc.

It looks like its worth travelling down to Jct40, and follow your satnav.  Its the head office and all sparkley kit.

I was a bit worried when I rolled up, Mercs, Astons, Ferraris and StrangeRovers.  I thought it was going to cost me $$$.
But at £35, cant complain!

You really think the head office one will be a bit better than the local one? Still, it might be worth the trip when I next get my tyres done at the same time.

but they have "frickin lasers"

Its more the 4 wheel adjustment that makes it worthwhile.

Looking at the Branches page, it appears to be only the Head Office has 4 wheel, but all the others have frickin lasers :?

I got the address for head office from one of the MX5 clubs.  I think its because the suspension is fully adjustable on yours, and just the front is on mine it makes the 4 wheel setup a wise move, or I could be talking spherical fleshlyness.
