8 years I've had it, and it has finally failed its MOT for something not trivial
Mr Toyota quoted £650+ to sort it, sourced the parts myself and getting local mechanic to fit them for less than half
Front disc warped, so needs 2 discs as you replace in pairs
Front pads where at 50% but still need replacing, I thought 8 years of driving and having half left was good, the rears amazingly have 70% left
(god knows how long the previous owner had these brakes on, assumedly he didn't just fit new brakes then sell!)
Handbrakes not working properly and is only 15% effective so an MOT fail.
Windscreen washer pump has given up so it just spits water onto the window
Steering rack boots worn, MOT fail.
I guess this has all been building up with use
