New Car - M3

Just thought I'd share my new(ish) M3. I have gone from a 550bhp Impreza to this, and I aren't disappointed :)

I bought it in November off a member on the owners forum, with no MOT, so got it through that and bought lots of bits for her, inc Performance Friction pads all round, OEM discs, braided lines, 4 michelin pilot super sports, suspension struts etc

Then decided instead of getting the OEM wheels re-furbed, I got some BBS CH's, and a front and rear splitter. Last week I also had the whole front end re-sprayed, but aren't happy with the outcome, so still need to get that sorted too.

Still thinking about getting some lowering springs and a back box perhaps. Wouldn't mind something more substantial on the boot....like a CSL boot lid, but not sure if they're worth the money or not....£800 from the dealer, but they do look good!

I have also bought a kit from FurnitureClinic.com to re-furb my two front seats once the weather gets nicer, as I didn't realise at first that all leather is just sprayed black (or what ever colour the leather is), and you use a variety of chemicals to remove the lacquer, then respray and relacquer them and they come up as new.

That's a stunner, man  8) Why aren't you happy with the respray job at the front?

I wasn't sure about the BBS alloys at first but when you get down to the close shots they do work with it actually. IMO just remember its a BMW M3 and not a Jap car that needs ricing into a transformer, don't go overboard  less is more!

I take it the numberplate you had previously too? Overall, made of purest WIN for sure :ptu:

I've also added the piano black front and side grills from the USA too.

The wheels look amazing in the flesh (IMO), although I might remove that silver rim around the edge. I didn't realise this was removable, but if you cut it, it just pulls off.

Once it's lowered (maybe) I won't be doing any more :)

Yes, I got the number plate as a present approx 7-8 years ago now.

I'm not happy with the spray job, as there are two places that you can see sanding marks, and two places at least that there are very small rust marks (1-2mm perhaps) which have been lacquered over, and no other work done to them!
