I get myself to what ever pump as quickly as possible. You could be sitting there for 10 mins blocking some other people getting fuel if the guy is buying his nights supper

I evaluate the situation.. if its an old person, then I tend to wait, because they are useless drivers.

If its a woman, then im forced to wait, because they are useless parkers.

If its a normal bloke, then I cut in ahead if they are still fueling.

Depends on the forecourt, If its a nice new big Bp/Tesco layout style forecourt and Im not incoveniancing anyone then sure, Ill park in front and get on with it.  Most times Ill wait especially if they are just finishing or going to pay, Im rarely in that much of a rush.  Im not  going to go out may to manouvere into some space.

what puzzles me is why people only go to the pump that is at the same side as the petrol cap, yes its a little more awkward to stretch it across the can but I have never had one not reach and it saves queuing.

Because not all of us want to scrape the hose round the paint work and twist the thing upside down to take it out.  That and we are trying to avoid petrol cap shame.

If theres room to get past there is no point really in waiting unless you want to play ultra safe.

I live in the end of a culdesac, and the people opposite park one of their cars on the road/pavement outside their house.

Yesterday the bloke came over to ask if wed seen a white van or car swipe the side of his daughters car yesterday.

If a huge culdesac isnt enough of a turning circle for a car to turn around in, theres little hope for people like the unknown driver in a forecourt to get past the car in front...

Likewise, though I do take the condition of the car into consideration as well.
