The recession
on: April 20, 2009, 16:42:39 PM
Is this the cause for the lack of new cars on Pistonheads, i have seen no new listings local to me for 14 days.

And Auto Trader isnt much better

Yet im sat at auction today, saw an 02 Astra 1.8 SXI go through with 29k Warranted and FSH for £2150, just a shame ive budgeted £2k

because people still think they can ask ridiculous prices for old cars

eg cars going for sale for £3000 when theyre worth £700

Also, with so many cars that were bought using mortgage equity withdrawals they cant afford to sell them at such a loss.

It seems to ring true mate, every golf i have looked at on Ebay has been above my budget, and ive checked around parkers, auto trader, pistonheads, papers etc for the ones that do sell and its around £600-800 less than those idiots are asking, ive sat here for weeks watching them list the same car over and over on auction, then giving up and putting it up as Classifieds for the same silly price.
