The two-seater, with 16 cylinders and four turbo chargers, can reach speeds of more than 250 mph. New models sell for about $2 million.

The man, who refused to give his name, was looking at real estate in Galveston.

About 3 p.m. a low-flying pelican distracted him as he traveled north on Interstate 45 just south of the hurricane levee near Omega Bay.

The man jerked the wheel, dropped his cell phone, and the cars front tire left the frontage road and entered a muddy patch, which foiled his attempt to maneuver away from the lagoon.

The Veyrons powerful engine gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died.

Turns out he also owned an Enzo that was crashed by one of his customers. It also turns out he is the owner of the one of the worlds biggest salvager repairers / body shops for exotic motors, and that he is also considering buying another Veyron to replace that one, which he says is one of, if not the best car he has ever driven.

The worst part is, referring to that GTR thread i posted, it costs a sick amount of cash just to service the Veyron, the extended warranty is $100,000, tired need to be change every 2500 miles or something at a cost of $10,000, wheels need to be changed every 4th service or something, the running costs were ridiculous!

Yes but if you go to a night club in a veyron the majority of the female population will want to go home with you.

Update:

What are the chances someone was actually filming him on a mobile phone camera?

It turns out the internetz thinks its a scam/ploy, apparently when the enzo was crashed by his customer someone made a t-shirt aptly named "save the enzo" and benefitted lucratively from it, and someone reckons in the next few days we will see a similar "save the veyron" t shirt popup, who knows!

What do you reckon the chances are that a clip of it will be in this seasons top gear at some point?

Also, as to the chances of it being filmed...Id have thought pretty high. Chances are if a passerby actually knows what the car is, theyll know how expensive/rare/uber the car is and could quite likely decide to film it to show their car nut friends later on?

That said, the muppet though it was a Lamborghini  :disappointed:
It's all fun and games until a 200' robot dinosaur shows up and trashes Neo-Tokyo… Again.
