Anyone owned an S40 or S60 in recent years?
Just wondering what general maintenance parts cost for these cars, and if its worth buying one compared to an A4 or Passat.
Stuff like:
Shock Absorbers
Clutch and Fitting
Cambelt
Brake Pads and Discs
etc
Im guessing they are a bit more pricy like Audis and VWs but are they ludicrously pricy to maintain?

it was years and years ago, but my 440 wasnt bad for spare parts, a little more pricey, and theres a few main dealer only parts etc.. but all in all it wasnt enough to worry about...
dont know what the new ones are like.... but mine was built like a tank... and nice to work on too, everything was pretty well set out, non of this daft taking the battery out to change a headlight bulb etc. etc.

Ive an S60 D5 as a daily driver - theyre brilliant. Much better than a 3 series at the same money.
Ive a slightly bigger turbo on mine now, different injectors and a remap, its around 230-250hp.
