They waived it for me!

That said, I do have the option of 3 providers.

That should only be if they need to install an entirely new line.

Had to pay that the last place I was at, the poor chap spent 20mins up a telephone pole in the rain.

I thought reconnection was about £80?

Tbh if youre gonna pay that spending 20 mins at the top of a pole in the rain is the least they should do. I think they should let you wobble the pole a little as well!

When I bought my flat, there was a telephone point in there, so I presumed they would just reconnect me free of charge etc.......(I actually posted on here about it all), but they said no, they wanted the £124.99........and at this point Id read that that charge was for installing a new line etc in to a house/flat....and the guy said yeah, you get that charge as well if you needed a phone line installing etc, which I didnt, but I asked for a brand new one anyway seens im paying the same amount just to be connected, which he didnt find too amusing. So i decided not to pay it from the robbing c**ts.........anyway, a week later, I tried my luck again, but to no joy!! Then I think a week or so later, I got a bill for 3 months line rental, so I phoned up saying this must have been for the last owner etc, but it wasnt, it was for my line rental for the next 3 months........I asked about the £124.99 charge, but they hadnt charged me, so was quite good TBH   But generally they do charge it yes, but think I got lucky.

Ill not pay BT £125 to flick a switch, I was on BT, Ill even make them move my wall socket, new internal wiring, externally ill get a friend to cut the wire so they have to put a new one in.

You obviously dont have to pay though if you bug them enough as I didnt......even though they said I did.

Telia wants £50 to switch owner of a line no work to do but just some changes using a computer so the phone my brother uses is still in my mothers name and she gets the bill she does not open the envelope with bill in, she just writes a forwarding address on it and posts it free of charge and my brother gets the bill :D
