It is still just a rumour, one with decent evidence, but still just a rumour.

Unless this is priced to within a reasonable amount of the difference in hard drive cost people wont touch it. The elite has just dropped in price and 120GB is big enough unless you plan to store your entire game collection on it and download every game you can.

It is not a rumour, its just leaked info that is not official.
There is a different. There has been that many shots of computer screens in stores and all the boxes to know its true. It is just when the official announcement comes.

Ive made do so far with my 20gb 1st Gen 360 ><

Am actually sort of looking forward to it dying so I can end up getting a newer/better one that is maybe a bit quieter and doesnt suffer as much with popping.

ive not switched my xbox on since getting a PS3

besides, its prob now cheaper to put in 250gb that 80gb, 20gb, 120gb, 160gb or whatever....

You seem to not understand what the word confirmed means.  There have been a number of times where incorrect info gets passed around and put into systems, usually caused by one mistake being reported as a story on a news site like kotaku and someone misreading that and putting it elsewhere.

At one point Duke Nukem Forever got a release date because one site decided to put in a temporary date because the system required a specific date. It then got reported on a site and many other sites started using that same date.

Until MS actually announce it as being a fact I am classing it as a very likely rumour.

The PS3 aint all that.  Mine only spins up to use PlayTV, and watch movies quietly.
360 is still the win for games, if not only for the controller.

MS denied price cuts a week before the 360s got a price cut. Them denying anything means absolutely nothing.

I trust Kotaku more.

People throwing evidence around saying LOOK LOOK IT IS TRUE, while not one bit of it is solid evidence.

I never said it wasnt going to happen. I am just saying that it isnt "confirmed" till it has been... guess what... CONFIRMED

I really hope none of you ever think about going in to law.

So because MS has not confirmed, and because there is blatant evidence that retailers are listing a 250gb product, separate retailers i might add, meaning 2 retailers have magically thought to themselves there is a 250gb 360 on its way and have priced it accordingly, (i mean what are the odds that the 2 people in charge of new products at these 2 separate companies both live in the same land of make believe where there exists a 250gb 360 in the coming future), but because MS has not confirmed, then my thread is now the funniest thread you have taken part in, thats good considering im not a comedian by trade, perhaps i should do stand up.

I guess you completely ignored the part where I mentioned that because news of one place listing a 250gb 360 other places catch wind (not always the brightest of employees reading the info) and putting it on their website to make sure they arent behind.

As I said, I am not discounting that they could announce it tomorrow or next week. But until it is confirmed it isnt confirmed it is still just a rumour. Even if that rumour has masses of evidence to show that it is true... it is still just a rumour.

Until the moment Sony announced that there was going to be a PS3 Slim it was still just a rumour even though the evidence was slapping you in the face there had been so many leaks. I know and read Kotaku most days because they do generally have the best coverage of games news and even they didnt throw the line "Xbox 360 250GB Confirmed" they realised that more information only makes it more likely.

[Edit]The only reason I am calling it funny is because you are so damn adamant that your line of being confirmed is true and all the people saying it is not a rumour. It just makes me laugh how people get something set in their mind and insist on it being true with only circumstantial evidence.[/edit]
