on: December 24, 2007, 23:43:27 PM
As title really, finished bioshock a couple of times, and as far as Im concerned its the best game Ive played. Finished Halo 3 last week too, and half-life 2, ep 1, 2 as well. Still playing through FEAR though

Any good games on the go to tide me over until Bioshock 2 ? :D

COD4 is another crap shooter, unlimited lives in war games just ruin it, no tactical play, every just spawns and runs to centre, and the maps are so small it just plain sucks, + no decent sniper points, you cant get elevated etc, its just another ut/quake with a war setting imo.

I also played Bioshock and finished it with the good ending yesterday, is a great game, and yeh i agree one of the best ive played in a while, i love the storyline, the weapons etc

If you want vfm just go buy crackdown for £15, that will last you a while :D

carried on playing it today and i think its very good. games would be pretty crap if you died and went right back to the very begining. There are probably to many check points tho but i think im playing at the easiest level.
The AI isnt the best, the enemy are either crap or just overwelm with numbers, and your team mates can be abit dumb by just hiding in cover while you kill all the enemys. The missions are great tho, loved the Chernoble one and the one where you control the guns on the big massive plan. Gonna finish it tomorrow.

Boishock is cheap in game so ill try that next.

Dont for get GTA IV is out soon.

can fully recommend Assassins Creed - possibly not to some peoples tastes but best game of 2007 in my opinion.

Good game but they were damn lazy with the quests, very repeative.

Hmmm maybe. But no more than KoToR who got 2 games out of the same thing, and lets not forget the lazy whore monsters who simply copied and pasted entire sections of map to create the "genius" that was Halo. Dont get me wrong I do know what you mean (and you know KoToR was one of my fave games ever) but I think most games are guilty of the same thing to some extent.

I see where you are coming from but those games never felt as repeative as assassins creed did, climb this tower, save this person (who wasnt stealing again), beat up this guy, pickpocked this guy... repeat a few times and then get a very nice peice of story as a reward :P

I enjoyed playing the game and thought the overall story was good but just think they should of spent more time on the side quests as this is what you are spending most of the time doing.

Recommended games from me...

CoD4 - Ive been enjoying the single player and thought I would try the multiplayer the other day... its like crack! *Just one more game*

Mass Effect - Loved the game, could do with abit more polish but meh still great. About half way through my 3rd play through. Dont get it if you only want action as there is alot of story and cinematic stuff

Viva Pinata - Like being on an acid trip, surprisingly entertaining and will kill alot of time if you get into it.

Lego Starwars - Do I really need to say anything?! its LEGO and STARWARS!

Trying to think what else Ive been playing resently, keep going back to work through Just Cause but thats huge and going to take me awhile longer methinks.

Again - I do know what you mean and your probably correct to an extent - but your seriously telling me Halo never felt that repetitive? Come on it was like bloody groundhog day - bridge > little building > identical bridge > identical building > oooh guess what an identical bridge......

Some variation on the side quests on AC would have been good though I admit.

CoD 4 I have at home but only played mulitplayer so far. Loving the Orange Box at the minute too (TF2 is superb!!)

Ace Combat 6 is where its at though! :D

Ive owned this xbox for under a week and im already sick of storylines.

I mean dead rising looks like a fun game, but it took about 20 mins to get into the nitty gritty, storyline, loading, storyline, loading, oh action oh i died, and it doesnt save lol, back to the start and having to go through all those loading screens again.

Ive had 7 games and i can honestly only Crackdown and Bioshock have been value for money.

Im at a point now where i just dont know what to go and buy.. I considered a Wii, im not fussed about graphics when it comes to Mario games, they just rock.
