Im a bit out of touch but am interested in this.

So just to confirm if I get eh £25/mo (7GB) pack I will be able to take my laptop anywhere with a 3 mobile signal, connect it to my laptop and browse the internet? All for no extra charge? It will also work at home as a sh*tty BB?

Thats pretty much the jist of it.  It really is plug in and away you go.

It has been usefull when on client sites and you need to test something from the other side of the firewall.

Recently it has been a life saver as you can plug these directly into a draytek router which we have changed to from netgear not so long ago, and you can use it as a broadband connection.

The recent frost/damp has been getting into our office buiding front box and killing our ADSL.

just bumping this.  We support these things at work, and wondered how good they actually are.  Im in dispute with BT at the moment, and im moving within 2 months, so im thinking it might make a decent put-me-by until i can get internet at home again.  Though if BT dont straighten themselves out im probably going to say screw them and put myself through the TalkTalk activation process.  Then fire a script at my line to bump the speed to something decent!
