I thought I had been posting in this thread but it turns out its another one:

Ive been quite surprised with 3G but I wouldnt recommend it for any activity that requries decent latency (gaming). That said, Skype seems to work ok over it.

Was going to say it would be good for Incar useage.

Tempted to either build an ITX or an EEE soley for incarPC useage, and use something like this, seems better than "The Cloud"s subscription service.

I never ever play games online anyhow.

Itd be for general access out and about, and in the car.

In that case itll be ideal. Worst case is you might find it falling back to GPRS on the odd occasion but if youre just browsing/emailing on the go then it wont really make a lot of difference to you :)

Ive been on 3 for the past 6 months - just lately most sites require several clicks before they load now - and increasingly often Skype and Yahoo Messenger fail to get past the login stage for the same reason.

Im considering 3s mobile broadband as right now Im out and about quite a bit and some times need an Internet connection.

I would go or the 3GB (£15) option as I wouldnt use the 7GB I dont think.

Cheule - Im wondering, is that via the 3Mobile broadband or using it via a phone?

Via the Phone, cant comment on the Broadband option. Just a bit of info really, could just be teething troubles.

Im a bit out of touch but am interested in this.

So just to confirm if I get eh £25/mo (7GB) pack I will be able to take my laptop anywhere with a 3 mobile signal, connect it to my laptop and browse the internet? All for no extra charge? It will also work at home as a sh*tty BB?

Nope, I think it picks up a signal from all 3s telephone network, but there is a different "Turbo Network" that 3 have introduced. www.three.co.uk will tell you the coverage with the turbo coverage the webby says speeds of up to 2.8mbps, which is impressive.

"turbo" lol... more than likely just in those areas theyve freed it up to allow more channels per customer. :)
