DC Unlocker and T-Mobile 3g Dongle
on: March 27, 2009, 12:16:58 PM
I have a T-Mobile webnwalk III HSPA Stick that I want to unlock and put an iPhone SIM into. With the purpose of getting free Internet/WiFi.

The dongle only has the following information on the back:

FCC ID: QISE170
Huawei Technologies co. Ltd
Made in China
IMEI: 354483021615***
SN: EV5TAB1851607***
~The dongle is black with pink ends.

Ive downloaded DC-unlocker but seem to be having problems getting it to recognise my dongle at all. Here are my results:

Ive also tried to get DC-unlocker to recognise my O2 Huawei e160 (which is probably unlocked by default) and it spits out the same reply.

How do I find out if my T-Mobile dongle is actually locked?

This is half my problem I have no idea which one it is. There are no identification marks. Is there software to check version codes?

It seems ill have to play around with the settings on DC-locker. Lots of googling has revealed that the drivers have to be installed and it wont work if any processes for the dongle are running.
Seems a bit of a flaky bit of software. I wonder if there are any alternatives.
