i got mine midnight release night.

Ive failed my degree by missign all my assignments this week.

Go figure!

Seriously, words dont do it justice, find someone who has one, go play one, and i bet you, you will start saving for one.

Most revolutionary console ive played.

and I hate consoles, im a total PC fanboy, but damned the wii is good.

ps. (truth) I took my wii into a lecture at uni and let my lecturer play it, he gave me an extension.

Got mine on release too.

As PuNK said, words dont do the console justice. You have to play it to actually see how good it is, but once you do play it, you wont want to put the controller down.

Wii Sports is great fun when played with friends or family. It actually got my mum, who has never played a video game in here life, into wanting to play the console any time I have it on and inviting her friends round just so she can show them how good she is at bowling.

Wii Play is ok, but the games dont have the fun factor of Wii Sports. Still, the Shooting Range brings back memories of playing duck hunt on the NES.

Red Steel is a bit of a let down. The vids of it that Id seen made it look so good, but it just feels really average. This could have been so much better.

Zelda is just great. The controls are easy to get used to, swing your arm to swing the sword, press the b button to fire your catapult and cast your fishing rod the same as you would in real life. Ive played it for just over 5 hours and have to say that this game is just stunning. I have a friend who is a huge Zelda fan, collects everything of it he can, and he says that its the best Zelda he has played.

Got mine launch day morning with Super monkey ball, Rayman Zelda and wii play.

It excels if you have a party going/few friends round, wii sports - bowling alone is worth the price :)

But to be perfectly honest ive not had much chance to play it single player, you really do need a nice open space to play it in, I dont have one of those :( Hell ive not even put the zelda disc into the drive, and wont do until I have component leads and a better TV to play it on!

got mine release day and if it it was just a console that had Wii sports (the free training game that comes with it) its justifiable for that alone.  Its really that good.

I was underwhelmed by my XBox 360 on release day and until gears of War came out recently its been a bit of a dead weight.  I was overwhelmed by my Wii on release day and weve had a few nights where someones just popped over to drop something off after work and were all still playing it at midnight.  Stood up swinging arms around or boxing frantically.  The competition for best bowler in the house is getting serious now!

Zelda arrives tomorrow from amazon and thats the first proper game Ill have so will let you know.  The sports game is a freebie just to show you how to use the controller but its already one of my favourite games of all time.

As Ferris Bueller would say: "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up"

Anyone know when there will be more stock in the UK? I heard a rumour of march  :?

It is now apparently the fastest selling console EVER in the UK. SOURCE

Stock is constantly being pumped into retailers, you should very easily be able to get one in January, if not before christmas (keep your eyes peeled on local asda/tescos)

Alot of the big name places (Game, Play, etc) arent because they already have a vast amount of pre-orders to fill before they will have any loose stock
