Finally watched this on Blueray. Its long and Im not fussed on the final ending but overall the storyline is strong. There are some physics issues but you wouldnt expect anything else. Unobtainium, hmm... Why go for a made up obscure name when one obviously exists already?

There are some similarities with Pocahontas but there are also similarities with other films and books too. It certainly had similarities with Dune.

Effectiveness of native weaponry was too high, again something that couldnt be easily avoided with the storyline.

What I expected was someone to leak the truth to the outside universe and some kind of Earth Federation to stomp on the company. Then again that has been used elsewhere too.

Pocahontas yes, but Dune is Pocahontas-esque in the sense of the main character being a fish out of water so to speak and then becoming accepted by the natives :D
