Excel 2007 chart question
on:
August 31, 2012, 11:51:29 AM
I have some survey data for 3 sites. Two of the sites were surveyed 2006,2008,2009,2010,2011, and 2012. However the 3rd site was only surveyed 2010,2011 and 2012.
I am trying to plot the data as a line chart, with a data series for each site.
Once all the data is selected and the chart "made" however, only the two sites that were surveyed 2006-2012 are visible. The 3rd site isn't on the chart, but is on the legend. If I change the horizontal axis to just 2010,2011 and 2012, they are all visible.
Is there a way of getting excel to plot that 3rd data series, starting in 2010? I don't need it to fill in 2006-2010, just to actually plot the 3 years it was surveyed.

All dates, Coombe not visible
Just 2010-2012, Coombe appears

Sorted. I had to select 3 blank cells in the data range for Coombe for it to plot it correctly.
