FREE *cough*relacement*cough* 360 control!

So you own an xbox 360 and its within warranty (1 year) ... suppose your wireless controller has just broken.

Fear not!  :-)

Call Xbox tech support: 08005871102 (option 1 then 3)
Tell them that your controller is broken and that you have tried everything
They will ask for your 360 serial number
then they will send you a brand new FREE replacement control without any proof of your broken item!

If you feel inclined you could also do this with your other broken accessories (eg play & charge kit).

Did it this morning and its on the way, lots of other poor folks with broken controls are also receiving theirs.

Two pirate thumbs up to MS for a great service!

cheeky buggers you lot

clearly though microsoft have decided it is cheaper to simply send out a new one than employ people to keep track of/test faulty ones etc.. obviously assuming that people who phone up are mostly genuine

could prove expensive for them if this catches on though - might cause them to change their policy which could cause them to employ some techie people to check the controllers and more customer service bods to deal with the calls - in fact by stealing from microsoft you could also be helping to create a job for someone
