If memory serves it did cause a bit of a furore.

That said its been done to death many times now, you would think people would stop being offended by it.

Yeah, the show isnt exactly short on religious references as it is. The running theme for the show IMO is the conflict between science & faith-based ideals.
Interesting, however, that both Faraday (a man of science) and Locke (a man of faith) are dead now though.

Watched the 3ep last night and am truly bedaffeled!!
