Depends on the Android phone essentially.
If you think you can pick up a £100 POS and think it will perform as well as an iPhone, you're mistaken.
Android phones aren't cheap alternatives. Get one with the right spec and minimal vendor f**kwittery (Sense, Touchwiz etc) and you're golden.
Look at the LG V20, Motorola X, Huawei P9 etc. Anything Nexus too and you'll get a great experience from the phone.
I had an iPhone 5 for work and hated it. Used to forward the calls to my Nexus 6. Wife had a Moto G and it was terrible. Not enough ram and poor amounts of storage space meant it always ran out. Moving apps to the SD card doesn't work as well as it could due to the differences in speed between internal and expansion storage.
