It's such a shame these games have to be released under EA and not Maxis any more, EA are the worst publisher... as long as its polished and plays like the others though it will be excellent

You should be ok tbh, I have a dual speed one and the Intel Inside intro movie just gets a bit choppy, have you tried optimizing your autoexec.bat to force it to go up to 4/5x or such?

Yeah choppiness is my problem too. I can only watch intro movies for games that are written on the outside edge of the disc or they won't play fast enough at all

CDs/DVDs have the same amount of data on the outside track as they do on the inside track.... it's just spread out more

hard drives pack more on the outer tracks - but that's a new thing that only started a few years ago
