That's even more annoying! I'll have a check later but won't be holding my breath

PSN is offering out the free games now. The servers are getting hammered though, so it can throw up errors at times. I've got Wipeout downloading nicely and LBP will be next. 8)

They are also handing out three free films too: http://uk.playstation.com/psn/news/articles/detail/item378986/Download-these-films-on-us-this-weekend/?site_locale=en_GB&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Hats off to sony, you can't really say fairer than that in my book

Stuffed at my end.

Picked Wipeout and Something else, then the option dissapeared, no games in my download list.
Can't pick the games to try and download again.
Great Jorb Sony!
Although, Burnout Paradise and James Pond are a nice freebie for PSN+ members.

Edit - Fix

Sony blog has a fix for this I think, try this if anyone gets stuck with it messing up

go to your account, and then select services I think (after the store button)
and then its something about sony services, press that and go start, and itll put you back in the store with the available games...

-or-

"If at any point you can’t find the ‘Welcome Back Free Game 1 or 2’ products, the list of available titles or a game you’ve selected, go to your XMB>PlayStation Network>Account Management>Transaction Management>Services List>SCEA Promotions to complete the process."

Yeah I had the same thing happen but that was after I had downloaded Wipeout. I followed these instructions to get back to the Store page and was able to get LBP no sweat. I checked out the movies as well but they are garbage, not worth the download. Other regions seemed to get a much better choice of movies!

Q: I no longer have the option to choose my free Welcome Back games. What can I do?
A: If you navigate away from the Welcome Back section of the store without choosing your free games or exit the store completely you may need to follow the below in order to choose and download your free games.

On your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable navigate to the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB
Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List
Choose “PlayStation Network Promotions” from the list of services displayed
Select either “PS3 Free Games” or “PSP Free Games” and then choose “Select Content”

You will be taken to the store to choose your remaining free games.

Although, Burnout Paradise and James Pond are a nice freebie for PSN+ members.

Also Streets of Rage 2! Classic!

This is the kicker.
They give two great games away on PSN+ as a sort of enticement to stay.

When they first started PSN+ they gave you LBP, then pretty much garbage up till now.  They give you Burnout Paradise.  I bet next month there's an amazing game too and then junk again.

When your free PSN+ membership ends, you'll not get to play those games.  You only get to play them when your a subscriber.

Hmm, it seems everyone is jumping the gun here ???

From reading their statement and not the conjecture all that's happened is that there have been attempts made to use login credentials to access accounts - this could be the original batch that was stolen just being run through to see if they can gain easy login access - hardly 'hacked' and 'compromised' just because a few people never changed their passwords.

Basically, if you haven't updated your PSN account by now you're a bit of a tard.

Given the news on GT5 I bet the hacker is some Forza fanboy :P
