Has anyone played this? Best game I've played in years, hard as nails though

You die.

A friend has been saying about this. Is there an objective to it? I got the impression it's a case of exploring a cave system that has various traps and enemies in it. You're pretty fragile so it's almost an exercise in just staying alive rather than anything else. An element of the "New Game+" in Dead rising, where you can restart after dying with your skills etc from the previous play throughs in tact?

Yes there's an objective, you have 4 standard 'worlds' complete them and you win the game, you can unlock shortcuts on the way and can start from world 2/3/4 and then kill the boss on 4, this is hard enough as it is...

Except that's not the end, it has a ton of hidden worlds and to complete the game 'properly' it's even more nails hard as you have to kill the last boss and open a secret gateway to hell ;D its simplicity is magnificent, and with it being truly challenging it's deep and rewarding.

PC/360/PS3/Vita

I got to hell earlier right near the last boss, and in true fashion died next to the doorstep to him  I did the same on the lost city of gold, got crushed ON the doorstep

I've got all the trophies barring 'big money' which is trivial compared to the others (still hard obviously)

Managed to completed the game in 6 mins 19 seconds.
