Get this for the car or the iPod for tube rides. Overlooked it last year, but its really great summer music. Nothing shocking, just perfect old man rock. Brilliant crystalline mix. Much more sparse compared to his outings with the Heartbreakers. If you like folk, the Byrds, Dylan, Orbison, and similar stuff, its a nice record. Nothing surprising, but youll be humming along after two listens. Theres nothing like listening to a 55 year old guy that knows his craft. :)

If you like it, then grab his 94 solo outing, "Wildflowers", which I think is his most beautiful record. A bit more melancholy, but still far more uplifting than tedious angsty mope rock.
