Went to see one being filmed when I was at college. Utter drivel and possibly the most boring experience of my life. You arent allowed up or out or anywhere until theyve finished filming in case you disturb the shoot and that can take as long as it takes, I suppose it depends on the director but we were in there for 4 1/2 hours. In between takes they had a god awful comedian on stage who just made the whole affair drag on even longer.

Tickets were quite hard to come by for us (we had to apply through the media studies department to actually get a response) and if it is a popular show you wanted to see filmed then you might be on the waiting list for months, if not years.
