Who has been the best batman and why?

Cartoon, movie, tv, who is it for you?

I have 3

ONE:

Kevin Conroy Does the voice for batman and Bruce in Batman: The Animated Series which while a cartoon and does not have cool violance is one of the best protrials of batman and the look and voice of him and how he acts is very good and he kept the voice work even in another good series of batman - batman beyond with him as the old and grump Bruce Wayne as well as Justice League.

TWO:

Michael Keaton as Batman was very good, while a little small to play him his wrong kind of look was counter acted by the whole dark style of the movie and characters that worked well and well he was very good at the kind of eccentric rich billionaire but a very good super hero and in the second movie him and cat women and that movie worked very well.
And then the movies and the batmen went all crazy comic and crap.

THREE:

Christian Bale is just a very good actor and he has become a good and as an action role underated, when he picks those sorts of movies he does very well.
Batman begins was risky but for me worked well, they had the right young batman and the film was back to the dark style of things but with a bit better action and slightly more realistic.
He is a good current movie batman though and it works well And I am looking forward to dark night.
As a movie series Alfrid by the almighty Sir Michael Caine - perfect, only real let down for me was Gary Oldman while a good actor it was to quirky and oddball for Jim Gordon even if he was just a normal cop back then.
If he was more like he is in the harry potter movies (of course not wizzard bent on revenge being locked away for ages even though he was good but more grown up and focused) would have been a bit better

But a good batman approach

Heath Ledger will for me surprise people as very real not stupid insane but a murderous insane but very clever joker.

As for between the 3 I cant decide all a bit different but all the better in my opinion compared to the many others, maybe some of you are more nostalgic and go for the old tv series batman but personally think it did not work even then.

Adam West is classic, Id give him the prize. I did always like Michael Keatons Batman too though.

I agree, Keaton was the best movie Batman by far. I think Bale needs a little time to grow into the role.

The one and only:

If its restricted to film, then I agree that Keatons the man. He plays the part very properly dark.
