Windows 7 pricing

http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1406108/microsoft-unveils-windows-pricing

From July 15th until August 14th, the Home Premium version will be going for only £49.99 in the UK and $49.99 in the US, while the Professional edition will sell for just £99.99 in the UK and $99.99 in the US.

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

I should be pleased that its not silly pricing.

But then I note that once again we pay more for the same product :( I dont think Ill think its ever right to charge the same value in different currency unless the exchange rate is 1:1 :(

Ah well, tis good news on the release date at least. The one thing putting me off using the release candidate was not wanting to have to reinstall again.

Now the only thing is the fact that my job relies on a certain program and it was a pain enough to install on vista!

So you can preorder at half price but ultimate will still be a total rip-off? :(

Doubt it.

For vista the differences were you got some of those ultimate addons and that video dreamscape background thing, though I think there was some security/networking thing that was valuable for people that actually knew what it did/was for. For everyone else home premium was fine!

This sounds like the UK getting ripped off again.

No Serious, youre getting the FULL version for that price. Were getting the UPGRADE. So were the ones losing out.

I should think so to, when you consider $49.99 is only £30.30 :P

Im wondering what OEM pricing is going to be like!
