XP Language bar...
on: October 20, 2006, 19:46:53 PM
Desktop boxen with XP Home is driving me nutso. I had used the language bar in the past to switch to Swedish board layout, but it was too annoying, so removed it and did my Swedish sessions in Ubuntu which has real foreign language support...

ANYways, the keyboard suddenly switched to svenski in XP and toggling the language bar on and off does nada. Cant switch to a yanqui layout. Of course XP is so twattish as to not let you choose the layout under something obvious like Keyboard under the Control Panel.

Help!

Working! :D

XP makes us multi lingual folks wanna cry.

Still doesnt explain why activating the language bar does nothing. Deactivating it does nothing either . :w00t:  :?

Ill just have to do my svenski in Ubuntu from now on. :P

where i used to work we had lots of multi-lingual folks.  They used to ring up regularly complaining that the language switcher software had packed up.  we used to talk them through that until we could get teh software reinstalled.
