A quite random legal question :heehaw:
on: May 04, 2010, 20:01:40 PM
Heres a random question, which I have clearly been giving too much thought to.

Prostitution is illegal. But pornography isnt. On the one hand someone is paying someone else to have sex with the, and this is illegal. But paying someone to have sex with someone else and film it, isnt?

So why dont the prossies get around this by simply "making a porno" every time they have a client?

Discuss.

Interesting..
I suppose because they have legal requirements, safety rests and regulations. With that then you could say "why not have brothels with similar". In new Zealand that is exactly what have. Prostitution is fully legal here. Everyone is registered and the brothels are  full blown done up properly affair. Private prostitutes have to be registered but are not allowed to be on the streets.

Probably reasons why but you make a valid point.

I figured itd be youd need licensing and regular health checks or something, which might be too much hassle, but at the same time Id have thought that thered be a demand where execs and the likes could legally get away with this stuff, so what if it costs thousands...

Didnt realise it was legal in NZ, I thought it was only legal in Amsterdam and a state in the US or something.

Couldnt you just buy a double bag off the ho for £50 or whatever and then bonk her for free? Technically youre only buying 2 johnies.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Prostitution is illegal.

Not in the UK it isnt. Lots of things surrounding it like soliciting/pimping are but not actually having sex for money.

Pornography is legally protected as its classed as Art under the law.  Prostitution isnt illegal, however soliciting is, as is having more than a certain number of women "working" at the same address.

this tbh...

Also in the UK youve got more risk of breaking the law by filming/distributing it - obscene publications act etc...

Im sure if it was a valid loophole that made it more "accessible" in the UK, thered be various establishments/businesses where its literally filmed and then the only copy is destroyed immediately afterwards, or similar.
