An new idea...

I dont want to do this idea, its just an idea I had to a problem...
I keep hearing charitiesare annoyed at people who sell things on ebay instead of taking their unwanted items to a charity shop...
Why dont charities sell their shop items via an auction site? Itd make much more sense... I mean itd take retraining the shop staff who are all over 85 to work turbo lister and then a nassive logistal effort to actually post the items, but what about a new charity? a new charity set up to sell things on auction sites so they hopefully get more money for them and then they can put more money to good causes.

Some things just arnt fit for charity shops, I take pretty much all my old clothes to the charity shop as it isnt worth my time putting it on eBay, and I know that when Im out and about I might pop into a charity shop for a tin flute jacket for a night out.
I think most people expect that of the charity shops. You go on eBay to find a cheap copy of a CD you like, you wouldnt expect to go to a charity shop for one, most are definitely full of clothes and kitsch nick-nacks.

Its personal choice taking them to a charity or not. If charities have problems with this then tough to them. There are plenty of second hand shops out there who used to get the stuff that charities now get, and their staff have to be paid for the work.
