Biscuit-cake-bar war anyone?
on: February 03, 2009, 20:30:00 PM
Ok, so maybe I have too much time on my hands. But I thought I might as well do this to get a bit more life on the forums.

Basically, how about a competition to see which biscuit/cake/bar is the daddy of them all. By cakes, I am meaning things like jaffa cakes

Itll need to be in stages methinks to get maximum activity. Bit like the movie hero vs threads of old.

First step/stage will be to define "biscuit" for the base of the competition, and then get nominations. Once we have all the nominations they will need to be ordered in some manner so that pairings/groupings are interesting and hopefully close, with a few heats. Ultimately leading to a poll on THE biscuit of choice.

To qualify, I think the only requirement is that it is some form or brand of biscuit (hobnob, cookie, etc), cake (Mr kipling, jaffa cakes), or chocolate bar that contains wafers or biscuit (such as kit kats)

This definition is open to suggestion and changes to allow for large entrants. About the only things Id like to exclude really are snickers and mars bars, though if people reckon they should be included so be it. Maybe having different classes to start with so we whittle down similar things.

Most importantly, its only a bit of fun so leave any negativeness at the door thanks.

Quarter final status:

Heat 1
McVities Milk Chocolate HobNobs

Heat 2
KitKat Chunky
Twix

Heat 3
Custard Creams
Crunch Creams

Heat 4
Bourbon biscuits
Foxs Classics

Heat 5
Milky Way
Wispa

Heat 6
Wagon Wheels
Mini rolls
Jaffa Cakes

Bourbon biscuits ftw
BN
Mini rolls

I dont see how you can classify all hobnobs as one, the yellow packet ones are far inferior to the red and blue

Ok, for things like hobnobs I guess qualifiers are in order, where they go against each type to get the daddy of that type? and then the winner goes through to the rest :D

Just had a thought, should these polls go in the food forum? Can we do polls in the food forum?

Or as its just waffly fun should they stay here?

Yes, you can do polls anywhere on the forums. If you want I can move them.
