Jeans
on: October 25, 2015, 22:41:12 PM
I went jean shopping today, haven't been in a few years cos my old ones lasted forever. Plus I'm a dad, I don't spend on me anymore.

K, so all I wanted is a nice pair of boot cut and some straight cut to cover both my pairs of shoes.

:gag: Boot cut are out of fashion. WTF, they went out 10 years ago? Gosh, well I don't care. I don't want boot cut like massive hip hop jeans, I want.. nope, skinny or straight.

:gag: Skinny jeans are still in? This makes me weep. I noticed today how many guys were walking around with these things on. They're castrato skin tight and finish about 4 inches above the ankle, then there are the socks, then there are the size 14 shoes. Am I the only one who thinks this looks tragic?

I am so glad that I'm not a teenager these days.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

I pretty much want to slap every guy I see dressed like that... not to hurt him, but to snap him out of whatever spell he's under

those jeans can't be comfortable ?

AFAIK Burton still do Relaxed, Straight and Boot Cut Jeans, not the best place to go as you run into all the Skinny Jeans crew but the Jeans are reasonably good.

Another place to go is Jacamo, they cater for almost all sizes.

Next also do a decent range of types, and they're well priced too ~£20-30, though a tip, the ones with 'stretch' do work as advertised and are a very relaxed fit, but the 'stretch' material makes them absorbent, so if you get water on them it can look like you've pissed yourself  I'd just go for the cheaper 'normal'

Those skinny drainpipe jeans are unreal, I often wonder how guys get into them tbh

I just realised I can;t remember the last time I bought jeans

no-one ever knows what to get me for christmas so I get jeans and t-shirts... and I don't use them for work so they last forever

I've got a pair with red paint on them from painting sams house for the 2nd sam crasher... and they're still good :-)

(omg I'm getting so old)

An alternative to Jeans would be a pair of Black OG Combats with suitable footwear, i combine them with a pair of Nike ACG Goretex Trainers.

Levi 501 = job done.

I've always got mine used on eBay (followed by a damn good wash!). Never paid more than £25-30 and they last for years.

Black straight leg Wranglers or deartment store substitute, or very dark blue. None of this worn look/skinny/flared ankle bullsh*t. How the hell do you even sit down in those without cutting your nuts in half?

Had to go to dentist yesterday, went past a shop with stacks of decent looking boot cut jeans for £16 a pair in Newcastle.

I have two pairs of "Mantaray" jeans from Debenhams that are straight jeans. Same size, cut etc. From the same aisle, bought the same day (was a buy one get one half price deal). Only difference between them was meant to be colour. However one pair is definitely a lot looser fitting than the other :/

If you want boot cut, try Gap. I'd never been in or owned an item of Gap clothing until a few months ago when I mentioned I needed some good jeans, and like you, boot cut, non of this skinny milarky. Easily got a pair of boot cut jeans for £30 in Gap. Whats more, it has a zipper fly instead of bloody buttons, something of a rarity I find nowadays!
