Valö — festplats i Kinda
På Valö festplats har det arrangerats dans och fester sedan 1956. Den vackert belägna ön ligger ett stenkast från det lilla samhället Björkfors — Kindabygdens pärla.
På Valö finns två scener, badbryggor, servering och rikligt med martallar, buskar och bergshålor att krypa in i för den som vill spela i smyg. Ön är handikappanpassad. Man tar sig till ön via en liten bro.
Förra året arrangerades en spelmansstämma på Valö. I år bygger vi ut så den gröna ön får uppleva en hejdundrande folkmusikfest. Valö Folk arrangeras av ideella nätverket Valö Folk i samarbete med Leader Sommenbygd.

At Valö dances and festivities has been arranged since 1956. The beautifully situated island is just
a stones throw from the small village of Björkfors --- the pearl of Kinda.
At Valö there is two stages, swimming bridges, catering and plenty of dwarfed pines, brushes and
crevices to crawl into for those who want to play on the sly. The island is accessible for disabled.
One reaches the island by way of a small bridge.
Last year a folmusicans rally was arranged. This year  we will expand so the green island will experince a whopping folk music festival. Valö Folk is arranged by the non-profit network ”Valö Folk” in collaboration with ”Leader Sommenbygd”.
