I noticed this a few days ago ... how is it fair that older (higher emission) versions of the same car pays half the road tax? The example i spotted it on is on parkers here

For reference its a Ford Cougar (98-02) 2.5 V6 24V 3d that a friend was looking at buying (dont worry, he decided not too).

works other way on car like the ford focus 1.6  thou £190 ish for the older £120 for newer (same shape)

It doesnt matter though does it, think how many people are being unfairly penalised. Its not just the big gas guzzling cars that have higher tax rates, some of the lower emissions cars have gone up too.

FFS from March 2010 my tax goes up from £185 to £200.00. Womens bits govt... :rage:
