Oakleys are made pretty well, but if you dont want the branding, you can get plenty good frames for less cash. I used to get designerish frames till I discovered a place that sells hand made generic Italian frame & lens for $150. I also highly recommend going either rimless or semi-rimless--it truly improves visual comfort more than anything.

So I think they look decent, though straight temples can be annoying at time. My heads virtually shaved, so they dont bother me much, as my sunglasses have them. If you look good in them get them, but you can find a similar shape in many different variations, and without the cheap looking two-tone. Might look good on you, might not.

Oaklies often have a warranty, which they better considering the price, but I personally dislike logos on glasses--you might like that.

Try on a pair of the rimless titanium frames that have come down so far in price these days. Youll be surprised at how they disappear. In the end, there are a lot of cool glasses, but few that fit and feel right. Mine do both thankfully. :P If the Oaklies fit the bill for you, you know what to  do.

I have a semi-rimless design but cant cope with the modern trend for very small lenses so I ended up with a compromise which I am happy with. Still have the old pair with huge tinted lenses for outdoor use  8)

when i 1st got glasses many years ago i had MASSIVE lenses as i didnt wanna be looking over them, now i have some smaller ones that are great but totally knackered after the 6 years of continual use.

ideally i need 2 pairs, 1 tinted for the sunny days outside and driving and 1 clear and anti glare for nite driving and sitting at the PC at work... all day lol

mine are rimless on the bottom and titanium colored top and sides. Narrowish top to bottum, but wiiide to fit my big noggin. Wide is good, gives you a much better field of view which makes for safer motoring and cycling. Plus they make me look like a teutonic engineer.  :D

why not get some of those adaptive ones that change depending on the light around you ?

anyway... if you like the ones youve got, why not just get new lenses put in em ?

Eventually the hinges wear and so does the material as it rubs on your skin so they are going to need replacing sometime

the nose piece is damaged and most of the frame coating has worn off my current ones, they have become uncomfortable
