Option for 3G/HSDPA (integrated) laptops?
on: April 15, 2010, 07:23:50 AM
My boss is fed up with having a dongle hanging out of his laptop so he wants to buy a portable laptop (<14") with integrated 3G or HSDPA. There dont seem to be many options, anyone got any experience/opinions on this?

Cheers

We use these all the time - mainly in our Dells but also in some Toshibas and Acers.

Dell D630s and E6400s will both take an internal card for this. Suspect most newish laptops will have this capability?

Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!

There dont seem to be many available with sim slots, most models seem to have the slot but theyre blanked off.

Buying throught a mobile operator gives more options but wants to buy outright.

Is there an ultra portable in the XPS range? Hes very into aesthetics, currently looking at a Sony but theyre crazy expensive for what you get.
