Something Awesome

Early one 1976 morning, Claude Lelouch attached a camera to the bumper of his Ferrari 275 GTB, which was then driven very, very quickly around Paris.

The identity of the driver is still a secret and when you see the scary motoring on display you can understand why.

8.5 minutes of driving heaven or madness

- YOU MUST HAVE THE SOUND UP LOUD -

My father-in-law has that on tape.  We usually watch it along with a video of the Ruf 911 CTR (Yellowbird) running a lap of the Nurburgring before we go to Porsche rallies.  It helps get us in the spirit!

The Ferrari 275 GTB has a 0-60 of 7 seconds and a top speed of 155 MPH.  That is extremely fast for cars at that time, but not so much today.  It might not look like he was going that fast, but I am sure we would have all been hanging on for life if we were in the passenger seat while he was driving like that.
