why should that stop you from going to uni? that is exactly what most students get up to when they are at uni......

Spose it depends on the prison. Doubt many are interested in the green.

The prison has two training wings with workshop spaces and an education centre which places emphasis on basic and key skills. There are resettlement and preparation for work sessions. The prison is currently undergoing a major expansion programme which includes two new houseblocks, a health care centre, workshop and gymnasium.

looks like they are trying to make them interested at least - even if most of them are just doing NVQs & other bollocks

I didnt go to Uni after leaving college but its still an open option in a few years maybe.

I had a mate who I did my BTEC National Diploma with at college who was 29 and went on to university so maybe when im 22 or 23 ill have a rethink.

I didnt go to Uni, I regret not being with friends when they were doing things and I was at work, speaking to F*** Tards till 11pm.

Its good in the way that I have more experience than some one thats gone to uni, in work that is and I think just from the things that have happened in my life I have a good deal of experiences that can rival that of a students life.

I have been through the "going out getting drunk" stage and the "staying in and getting drunk" stage and many more things that I cant think of off the top of my head.

So I dont regret not going or not regret it.

Well I guess some NVQs are useful (I was only having a cheap dig at them tbh...) I seriously reckon they ought to bring back secondary moderns though tbh....

GCESs are pretty useless anyway - GCSEs below grade C are completely useless.

People in the bottom sets at most schools would be better off following vocational courses in plumbing etc.. than getting pushed through GCSEs which are academically based and probably not suitable for them - even thought they keep making them easier.

Personally, I thought some of my lessons were a big bit of pointless crap, except history remember this girl called claire and we sat opposite each other, she had a short skirt on and no panties, but anyway where was I?

Yeah, I think like on a friday afternoon or somthing kids should be sent to companies in the area and they can work - and learn on the job. I think even a year of that, 4 hrs after lunch a week would be a BIG help.

I think if you do that youll encourage school leavers, and well end up with a roaring workforce of labourers, miners, and macdonalds employees and have to rely on immigrants for our health care, and teaching. yay for yosser
