The company provided you with all the correct equipment to do your job, there is in fact nothing more they could have done in this situation to stop the accident occurring.

The courts found you at least partly responsible for the accident, and therefore your injuries. You admit choosing not to use the safety equipment supplied in the van (seat belts).

Youll lose it if it went to court. Youd end up paying court costs, and thatd suck more.

Id consider myself lucky not to have been killed, and have simply let dogs lie. For someone who wanted to "just have it all end" a few days ago, you seem exceedingly eager to drag it all up again in the hopes of getting a few quid from your companies insurers.

Why bother?!

lol, if Id had my seatbelt on Id have been killed too.

as for the employers liability insurance.... it doesnt matter what I did, I and anyone working for me is insured for any damage/loss to themselves during working hours.

Im happy to go ahead with that when I wanted to get the previous case over with because I could have lost my licence and then Id be screwed.... for putting a clame in, all I do is fill out a few forms and then forget about it while the solicitors take a year to work it all out, no risk to me :)

plus..... although I pleaded guilty, they still say the accident was his fault, and his insurance company is paying out for the damage to the van etc...

the way employers liability insurance works is.... I sue them for damages, then theyll go after the motorbikes insurance company to get the money back,

but more importantly the company is majorly out of pocket because I wasnlt there to run it and push it forwards.
