I know weve had this thread before but I cant remeber and it is interesting to see what people are up to. Also if they enjoy what they do.

I am an electrician and absolutly love my job, dont know if it is the work or the people I work with. I work in some absolute dives at times aswell but I look forward to everyday.

3rd line desktop support.. the 1st and 2nd line are useless so we end up doing that as well. Cant say i look foward to it as its all remote and i prefer hands on and server stuff.

I have changed jobs, probably several times since the last thread.

I was a car salesman I quit, got a admin job with the RPA I quit that and got a job with EDS and then got fired from there for "my lateness and attitude" but basically I argued valid points with the managment who had very little give in them

Now I have a job back at the RPA on The Processed Goods Section

Nope on my section we deal with mainly sugar and milk.

Take a look here and these will tell you if you can claim. You dont need a Refund Certificate either, but you will need to register a trader number and then you can claim from the small exporters reserve, upto €75,000.

You need to export it to a non EU country though and you do need proofs depending on the route it takes.

Have a look at ET17 PDF file for the product codes. Page 83 on mine but down near the bottom the section called "the lists"

but the items that get exported that I process arnt payment for the items, they are a "refund" otherwise known as a subsidary for the item being exported. So the amount will be different and its set by the EU to help exporting from the EU to outside the EU.

IT Manager for Irelands largest indigenous call centre (And apparently fastest growing company) - 1065 staff and shortly to rise to 1400. I have a team of 13 desktop, server, telephony and network engineers, and 2 developers.

I used to be the datacomms engineer, and before that desktop support!
