So when are you putting up your (PC) Winterfest tree and decorations?

Some nutters accross the road from me have had them up the last week.

Yule tree is going up first weekend in December for us since well be away from the 20th so wont get to enjoy it for as long.

Our exmas tree is going up when madame pulls it out of the box.

I wanted a real Christmas tree hacked out of the forest with spiders and sharp needles to put in an old bucket, but shes allergic :(

Its Christmas.. if it offends people, tough sh*t, they can f**k off to another country or lock themselves inside for the next 6 weeks.

And if I, as a self confessed non-practising pagan, wish to celebrate the Winter Solstice or Yule with the ritual decoration of a tree then I da,m well will. We had it a long time before the Christians got a hold of it.

How can pagans claim to have CHRISTmas before CHRISTians. Just because you worshipped the sun god, or wine god, or some god, when it snowed, doesnt give them automatic bragging rights over any other festival at this time.
