As if this is going to change habbits anyway.  It was a ridiculous rule where the only benefit was more money into the pocket of shareholders.

Imo its like telling someone they cant use their football on this field, they have to buy a new one, the exact same one that you allready own to play on it.

Strangely enough I believe a recent poll done by BBC news showed that only a minority of those doing it knew it was illegal.

This is what I ment With my "is it legal post" with TV shows
I wish they would stop messing around and saying, yes one minute no the next to things and having no clue.
That piratebay issue as well, In they role, shut it down and then for what ever reason its back up soon after with the police not rolling in again.

Films I do think is there as - Yeah its a no, dvd - go buy it or download via payed source.


Next thing though is the actual version only stuff to sort, which it seems they are looking into

But there isnt any legal confusion. The laws are there. Just because the BPI wont be persuing members of the public who own the music on their players in other formats doesnt make it any less illegal until the laws are changed by the government.

Nexus I advise you to have a read of the OPI website and in particular the copyright act if you are confused about it, as there is no grey area. Its all laid out there in black and white print.

NO, i know the laws, but they activly change their mind and laws here actually break EU laws, one last year had to be changed with regard to digital right signing.
The laws change so much that it matters, becuase they change so often.

The law is dynamic and TBH even those creating it dont always realise the consequences of what they are doing. One law can contradict another quite easily or have unforseen effects in other areas.
