they want people to be healthier longer so they can raise the retirement age.

If you scratched off everyone who smoked & drinked the NHS would be on its knees.

Replace every driver with public transport & the whole system will collapse.

Guess Im going to be a bigger burden on the health service than some of you lot :P

No smoking, minimal drinking and Im no longer as overweight as I was. Really should get more exercise tho.

One good burden on the NHS is all the private firms that do a lot of the work.

As with ALL civil service or governement funded institutions, private firms and contractors continue to rip the piss out of the prices they charge to them.

Im sure you know someone who works in a company that provides software or hardware systems to some governement contract or body.

i can guarantee yoy theyre charging at LEAST 500% RRP on it to the governement. And I can almost guarantee that it is substandard sh*t, because theyre in the game purely to make money.

Overpricing is so widespread its known as Government discount
