Yes, but he could have used a lens cap on the outer end to be able to change lenses. I have seen industrial flexible tubes that would work better than the plunger too.

surely gimp or PS would be easier and less likely to f*ck your cam up?

Pointless, tbh, can you make a tilted plane be in focus using software? Nope.

Ive got a plunger (thankfully not needed any more) that I could use to do that with a view camera :lol: You could of course just use it as an extension tube for super-Macro.

Hey heres another DIY project.  a really good macro lens, from a pringles tube :mrgreen:

If I had a few old lenses around I think id give this type of thing a go, but unfortunately I dont :(

You can do the same thing with the top post item, except you have the option of varying the macro far more easily. Only change is that you use a standard lens, not one for a bigger camera.
